Leadership has to be engaged in order to lead. We don't have to know every detail to lead a team, just that the details are important. Hire qualified people, give them the tools they need to do their job and LISTEN to them. Be open, self-critical, take every opportunity to learn, and build the environment to allow your team to do the same. Leaders understand that a well-built team can handle the details as long as they have the tools.
